Subutex 8mg is an opioid medication. This medicine oral/sublingual (given under the tongue) Subutex pills is used to treat opioid addiction. Other forms of buprenorphine are used to treat moderate to severe pain. Subutex vs Suboxone are not for use as a pain medication.
